The chains are tested for tensile strength meter by meter, and each bundle carries the test mark. Made from high-quality, UV and weather-resistant nylon, they are resistant to seawater and many chemical compounds. Physiologically harmless, they are neither electrically nor thermally conductive and are non-magnetic. They are temperature resistant from -40 °C to +80 °C and lightweight. Barrier chains are used in conjunction with barrier posts to delineate roadways, sidewalks, parking lots, etc. Like many street installations, they are exposed to heavy loads, such as vandalism.
