The UMG 96RM-E measuring devices feature 6 current inputs (4 inputs for 1 or 5 A and 2 analog inputs for 0 - 30 mA), with the 2 analog inputs being usable for temperature or differential current measurements. Continuous monitoring of differential current in power distributions is thus possible alongside the standard measurement of operating currents. A special procedure has been implemented for RCM measurement, allowing RCM thresholds to be set dynamically based on total power. With dynamic threshold formation, a tailored differential current limit is established across all load ranges, preventing unnecessary fault alarms. Unlike conventional RCM monitoring devices, an optimal fault current limit is ensured even in low load areas. Leakage fault currents and earth leakage currents are recorded according to IEC 60755 Type A and B, for example, in supply lines, outgoing circuits, end consumers, or central grounding points.
