Product details
The white farmer's hydrangea is an elegant beauty and has contributed to a true renaissance of garden hydrangeas in recent years. The white flowers combine beautifully with pink and blue blooming hydrangeas or provide a special charm when standing alone. In a pot, the white farmer's hydrangea welcomes your guests on the balcony or terrace. These plants are versatile and adapt to any environment. To ensure you enjoy this blooming classic for a long time, water generously, but avoid waterlogging.
Hydrangea macrophylla, white, grows in a bushy manner and typically reaches a height of 1 to 1.5 m and can spread up to 1 to 1.5 m wide. It usually grows 15 to 50 cm per year. The farmer's hydrangea produces white flowers from June to September, arranged in beautiful clusters.
Never plant a hydrangea too close to a tree, as tree roots are dominant and could deprive your hydrangea of nutrients and water. This plant requires a lot of water. Do not let the soil dry out.
Tip: In spring, only remove old flower heads and dry wood. Water this plant only with lime-free water. Rainwater is particularly suitable for this purpose.
Planting should take place between March and October, and fertilizing should be done from March to July. The plant should be watered from April to October and pruned back between February and March.
