Adjustable base friction couplings with 2 discs, featuring a locking screw and clamping attachments. Vari-Tork friction couplings from Huco come with adjustable friction or slip torque. The controlled slip occurs between the hub and the housing whenever the load exceeds the preset torque. In this simple design, the pressure on the discs and friction rings is transmitted through an adjustment element that operates via a spring and pressure plate. The load can be connected either with the inner hub made of steel or the housing made of aluminum alloy.

As a torque limiter, the Vari-Tork interrupts the connection between the power source and the load when a predetermined value is reached.
