Hibiscus syriacus Hamabo grows in a bushy form and typically reaches a height of 1.5 to 2 meters and a width of 1 to 1.5 meters. It usually grows 20 to 30 cm per year. The garden hibiscus Hamabo produces two-colored flowers from July to September.

Over time, the soil loses some important properties. Therefore, plants should be repotted every two years in the spring into a larger pot with fresh potting soil. While spring and autumn are the best planting times, container plants can be planted year-round. The planting hole should be twice as wide and deep as the root ball. Remove the pot, loosen the root ball, place the plant in the hole, fill with soil, press down firmly, and water thoroughly.
