It can be set up and managed via an app. It can be used as a stand-alone device with Gira TKS switching actuators or in combination with the Gira door communication system as a doorbell system for multi-unit buildings. It scans the outermost layer of skin using high-frequency technology. It offers a high recognition rate and protection against tampering. The system evaluates the unique characteristics of a living human finger. Up to 99 fingers can be managed by the fingerprint reading unit. It reliably recognizes fingers that may have been slightly injured, such as during gardening (only the top layer of skin is affected). Data protection is ensured through encryption methods. Quick response time from placing the finger to unlocking: approximately 1 second for up to 30 stored fingers, and about 3 seconds for up to 99 stored fingers. The fingerprint area features a night design for orientation with white LED lighting. It allows for 360° finger placement. A three-color LED status indicator provides visual signals during programming and operation. A master PIN number is provided on a sealed security card in case the administrator's finger is no longer available. The device can be factory reset using the included security card. An acoustic signal indicates successful operation for users or installers. An alarm sounds if the fingerprint attachment is removed without authorization, serving as a tamper detection feature. Tamper protection is integrated with a switching actuator in the Gira door communication system. Inputs and outputs include a plug strip connection cable for the Gira door communication system. Children's fingers can generally be reliably recognized starting from the age of 6.
