Product details
GESIPA blind rivets ensure a permanently secure joining of various, including sensitive materials. The blind rivet technology from GESIPA has become indispensable in many modern industrial productions where joining technology is required, due to its cost-effectiveness and versatility. It combines advantages such as overcoming limited access to components, providing a permanently secure connection of various, including sensitive materials, and even the documentation of the setting process upon request.
From a technical perspective, the blind rivet consists of two components: the hollow rivet and the rivet mandrel. While screws, clinching, and punch riveting, etc., require access to both sides of the component, the truly special feature of the blind rivet is that only one-sided access to the component is necessary.
During the setting process, the rivet mandrel is pulled by the jaws of the setting device, deforming the hollow rivet until it reaches a predefined, secure fit in the component. Finally, the mandrel breaks off at the designated point, the predetermined breaking point, and the remaining mandrel can be recycled. The remaining mandrel is the part of the mandrel that stays in the hollow rivet and can take on an additional securing function depending on the application.
Blind rivets come in various designs, materials, shapes, lengths, and colors. Depending on the task that a blind rivet is intended to fulfill, GESIPA offers a choice between a standard model available from stock or a blind rivet specifically designed for a particular application.
