Gesipa Blind rivets

GESIPA blind rivets ensure a permanently secure joining of various, including sensitive materials. The blind riveting technology from GESIPA has become indispensable in many modern industrial productions where joining technology is required, due to its cost-effectiveness and versatility. It combines advantages such as overcoming limited access to components, securely joining a wide range of materials, including sensitive ones, and even providing documentation of the setting process if desired.

From a technical perspective, the blind rivet consists of two components: the hollow rivet and the rivet mandrel. While screws, clinching, and punched rivets require access to both sides of the component, the unique feature of the blind rivet is that only access from one side is necessary.

During the setting process, the rivet mandrel is pulled by the jaws of the setting device, deforming the hollow rivet until it reaches a predefined, secure fit in the component. Finally, the mandrel breaks off at the designated point, the predetermined breaking point, and the remaining mandrel can be sent for recycling. The remaining mandrel is the part of the mandrel that stays in the hollow rivet and can serve an additional securing function depending on the application.
