GESIPA blind rivets ensure a permanently secure joining of various, including sensitive materials. From a technical perspective, the blind rivet consists of two components: the hollow rivet and the rivet mandrel. During the setting process, the rivet mandrel is pulled with the jaws of the setting device, deforming the hollow rivet until it fits securely in the component at the predefined position. Finally, the rivet mandrel breaks off at the designated point, the predetermined breaking point, and the remaining mandrel can be sent for recycling. The remaining mandrel is the part of the mandrel that remains in the hollow rivet and can serve an additional securing function depending on the application.
