Product details

The bright yellow petals of the four-petaled flowers of Forsythia x intermedia Week End have adorned many bouquets. With exquisite beauty, the countless flowers sit in dense clusters on the branches of the ornamental shrub, attracting every gaze. Thanks to its compatibility with pruning and its upright growth, the forsythia is a visually appealing sight.

Forsythia x intermedia Week End grows wide and upright, typically reaching a height of 1.5 to 2 meters and a width of 1 to 1.5 meters. It usually grows 20 to 40 cm per year. The Week End forsythia produces yellow flowers in March, arranged in beautiful clusters.

Spring and autumn are the best planting times, but container plants can be planted year-round. The planting hole should be twice as large and deep as the root ball. Remove the pot, loosen the root ball, place the plant in the hole, fill with soil, press down firmly, and water thoroughly.

This plant requires a lot of water. Do not let the soil dry out.

Tip: Perform the so-called thinning cut: only remove the shoots that are too close together.

Planting should take place from March to October, and fertilizing should be done from March to May. The plant should be watered from May to September and pruned back from May to June.
