Ground measuring devices such as the new Fluke 1623-2 and 1625-2 are essential tools for troubleshooting. They help maximize equipment availability and reduce the risk of electric shock for users. When fault currents do not find a path to ground through a properly designed and maintained grounding system, they follow unintended paths and can even travel through the human body.

In the absence of proper grounding, the likelihood of operational disturbances also increases.
