Detects the electrostatic field generated by alternating current in a steady state. The measurement is made through insulation, and contact with the exposed conductor is not required. When the measurement tip lights up red, voltage is present. The "Battery Check" button allows for a pre-use check to ensure the batteries are in good condition. Comes with a clip, making it ideal for transport in jacket and overall pockets. Safety category CAT IV 1000 V. Compatible batteries: 2 pieces 155050.0400 - LR03 / 1.5 V (AAA) (included).
