Tradescantia zebrina, commonly known as zebra plant due to its striped leaves, is very easy to care for. It originates from Guatemala and Central and South Mexico. The "Smit Silver Sicilian" variety features elongated, oval leaves that taper to a point. Notable are the silvery-violet sheen on the green base color and the two bold, silver-white longitudinal stripes. The underside of the leaves shines in a vibrant violet. This evergreen zebra plant is best showcased in a hanging planter, where its long, trailing stems can be displayed beautifully.
