Functionality:
The UX with flange is suitable for pre-assembly, while the UX without flange is designed for through-assembly. When the screw is tightened, the UX expands in solid materials and knots in hollow spaces. The required screw length is determined by the length of the dowel plus the thickness of the component plus 1 times the screw diameter. It is suitable for wood and particle board screws as well as anchor screws. In panel materials, the unthreaded part of the screw must not be longer than the component, and the UX with flange (R) should be used. The flange distance must be at least one dowel length.
Applications:
Pictures, lights, baseboards, wall cabinets, towel holders, mirror cabinets, curtain rails, washbasin fittings, TV consoles, plumbing fittings.

The universal functional principle (knotting or expanding) allows for use in all solid, hollow, and panel materials. Therefore, the UX is the right choice for unknown anchoring substrates. The angled connecting webs of the UX ensure optimal screw guidance. Sawtooth-shaped anti-rotation features prevent rotation in the drill hole.
