Each blade is made from drop-forged chrome-vanadium steel, which is hardened and tempered to strict standards to ensure that the edge stays sharp longer. The beveled blade makes these chisels perfect for cutting in tight corners and for fine work. The handles feature a non-slip soft grip coating for added user comfort and are equipped with a steel strike cap that provides extra protection when used with a hammer or for occasional hammer strikes. A properly sharpened chisel has a double angle profile. The blade is ground at a 25° angle, which increases to 30° at the front edge of the blade. For absolute accuracy, use a honing guide and an oil, diamond, or sharpening stone.
