Each blade is made from drop-forged chrome-vanadium steel, which is hardened and tempered to strict standards to ensure that the edge stays sharp longer. The beveled blade makes these chisels perfect for cutting in tight corners and for fine work. The handles are coated with a non-slip soft grip for added user comfort and feature a steel strike cap that provides extra protection when used with a hammer or for occasional hammering. A properly sharpened chisel has a double bevel profile. The blade is ground at a 25° angle, which increases to 30° at the front edge of the blade. For absolute accuracy, use a honing guide along with an oil, diamond, or sharpening stone.
