Deep groove ball bearings are versatile and can be used in various applications. They consist of solid outer rings, inner rings, and ball cages. Deep groove ball bearings are insensitive during operation and easy to maintain. Due to their low friction moment, they are suitable for high speeds. They are available in single-row and double-row designs, as well as open and sealed versions. Sealed deep groove ball bearings are lifetime lubricated. The different variations are indicated by specific suffixes:

- M = Sealed on both sides
- Y = Brass cage
- 2Z = Z-shields on both sides
