Painters, plasterers, and drywallers have always preferred wooden ladders for their various craft tasks. Particularly advantageous for them: the material wood is warmer than aluminum and does not react with paints, water, or adhesives, thus preventing black discoloration on hands and clothing. The wide standing surfaces (50 mm deep) allow for fatigue-free standing even during longer tasks and are gentle on the ankle. The top two rungs should not be stepped on; they are intended to stabilize the ladder in a trestle position.
