Product details
Do you already know the black Chia Biosaat from Bolivia? Here you get it in raw food quality. Chia stands for strength and was the food par excellence for long-distance and news runners. Even today, chia seeds are an important food for the endurance runners of the Tarahumare in Mexico.
Chia is characterized by a very high content of omega-3 fatty acids (even more than flaxseed) and an ideal ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids. The sprouts are rich in powerful antioxidants (defense against free radicals), fiber, vitamins (A, B3/niacin, B1/thiamine, B2/riboflavin), minerals (high levels of calcium and potassium, phosphorus, zinc, copper and boron) and contain all essential amino acids.
They have an intestinal cleansing, detoxifying and balancing effect on blood sugar levels. The sprouts have a mild-tart flavor.
Because chia is one of the mucilage-forming seeds that require dormant soil, you will need a cress screen to grow them. In the first days the germination is very delayed, only after a few days you will notice the first movements. Once the breakthrough is achieved, the germination process proceeds steadily. Harvesting begins after 8-10 days.
This germinating seed comes from certified organic cultivation (DE-ÖKO-037).
