Elmag - Saw Blade HSS / DMo5 / TiN Coated TiN 250x2.5x32mm T5 160 Teeth

Circular saw blades - HSS/DMo5 with TiN coating. To increase the service life of the saw blades, we have equipped our products with a special TiN coating. This process also preserves the surface grinding of the coated area with a surface roughness of 0.3 Rz, a washing process with chemical activation, and vacuum drying to ensure the area is perfectly cleaned and to prevent oxidation and moisture. Additionally, side runout and straightness are checked and corrected again.

The hard coating, with a thickness of 3 microns based on titanium, is produced at a process temperature of approximately 490°C. This hard coating has a friction value of 0.47 and an oxidation temperature of 640°C. The coating hardness is 2,480 Vickers (HV 0.05). The low thermal conductivity of this hard coating provides good thermal protection for the body.

In terms of application, it is ideally suited for machining structural steel and should always be supplied with ample coolant lubrication. However, this hard coating is not suitable for machining copper, brass, and bronze.
