Eisenschenk:Flag consecration

The entire town of Neukirchen is eagerly anticipating the flag consecration of the local shooting club, which is set to be celebrated with a grand festival in a few months. Preparations are already in full swing. Gregor Cornelius, whose marriage is in a severe crisis following a traumatic event, agrees to write the club's commemorative publication, as it offers him the perfect opportunity to turn his back on Munich for a while and spend time with a newfound acquaintance in Neukirchen. However, during an evening walk, he discovers the body of Elena Ziegler, the young and beautiful "flag bride" of the shooting club, in the village stream. At the same time, the village is plagued by a series of break-ins, with the perpetrator becoming increasingly reckless and violent. Is there a connection between the robberies and the dead "flag bride"? Before Cornelius can draw the right conclusions, he finds himself in grave danger and must horrifiedly realize that he is staring into the deepest abyss of the human soul.
