Miniature circuit breakers from the FAZ series, available in 6 kA and 10 kA. These breakers feature single, double, and triple poles with thermal and magnetic tripping mechanisms, designed for DIN rail mounting. They come with three selectable tripping characteristics and breaking capacities of either 6 kA for low-cost applications or 10 kA for full rating.

The double-break contact system includes an internal spark extinction chamber and a storing firing mechanism with free tripping. There is a clear indication of contact position via a frontal switching lever, and the large terminal clamping capacity ranges from 0.75 to 16 mm².

These breakers are compatible with DIN rails, conforming to EN50 022/DIN 46277-3, and meet the design provisions B, C, and S according to the new international standard IEC 898, BS/EN60-898.

Curve B ensures comfortable tripping at currents 3 to 5 times the rated value, suitable for circuits with lower inrush currents, such as incandescent lamps and household loads. Curve C provides instantaneous tripping at currents 5 to 10 times the rated value, ideal for larger inrush currents found in industrial equipment and motors. Curve S features a short circuit response threshold from 13 to 17 times the rated current and an overload threshold from 1.05 to 1.3 times the rated current, making it particularly suitable for protecting control circuits with high inrush currents, such as transformers.
