Product details
In its native habitat, the Mediterranean region, the dwarf palm can grow up to five meters tall. The dark green leaves stand upright and are very resilient. A single plant usually develops multiple trunks. In a pot, the dwarf palm enjoys a sunny outdoor location in the summer. It can also spend cool autumn days outside. Older plants can tolerate light frosts, but the roots should be protected. Water regularly, but sparingly!
Chamaerops humilis grows upright and sprawling, typically reaching a height of 2 to 3 meters and a width of 0.8 to 1.2 meters. This is a slow-growing plant, usually growing 20 to 40 cm per year. Planting is recommended from February to November.
The dwarf palm is evergreen. Its deeply lobed leaves are gray-green. It thrives best in normal garden soil in a sunny location. In unprotected areas of the garden, winter protection is advisable. No pruning is necessary for this plant.
