Dragon tree marginata
70 cmProduct details
The dragon tree does not require much water and can survive dry periods relatively unscathed. However, one should expect yellowing and subsequent leaf drop of the lower leaves. The ideal method is the immersion technique, where the pot is submerged in water until no more air bubbles rise. After that, the excess water is allowed to drain, and the plant is returned to its original location. It should only be watered again when the substrate has become quite dry, which can take several weeks in winter, depending on the pot size and environmental conditions.
A bright location, which can also be sunny after acclimatization, is ideal. However, the dragon tree also tolerates partial shade and even full shade, allowing it to be cultivated in relatively dark places. Not every dark corner is suitable as a location: the shoot tip orients itself towards the light and grows in the direction of maximum light intensity.
