RCBOs combine residual current and circuit breakers in one device (RCCB/MCB combination). They protect people from residual currents and equipment from short circuits and overloads. The DRCBO 4 has a rated breaking capacity of 6 kA. In addition to a tripped indicator, it also features a labeling window. Type B+ residual current circuit breakers detect smooth direct residual currents as well as all other residual currents at frequencies up to 20 kHz. The required operating voltage is derived from the mains voltage, ensuring correct voltage supply when the voltage between the mains conductors is >= 50 V. Pulsed and alternating residual currents are detected independently of the mains voltage. Switches with tripping characteristics B are the standard protection for lighting and socket circuits. Standard switches are designed for circuits with a rated voltage of 230 V or 400 V and a rated frequency of 50 Hz.
