The combined surge arrester for the 40 mm busbar system is specifically designed for residential buildings without external lightning protection. The proven spark gap technology allows for use in the pre-meter area and fully complies with the VDN guidelines. With a high nominal discharge current, the DEHNshield ZP Basic meets all requirements of the new DIN VDE 0100-534. Additionally, the corresponding lightning current discharge capacity fulfills the normative requirement for the installation of a Type 1 arrester for overhead line connections. The arrester, with coordinated protective effects according to Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3, also provides equipment protection.
