Climbing rose Florentina
Product details
Pure nostalgia unfolds when observing old gardens, often dominated by a trellis of climbing roses. Climbing roses have reclaimed their place not only among romantics. They vigorously climb trees and walls, and even house facades are no obstacle. Just think of the fairy-tale Sleeping Beauty castle. With their heavenly fragrance, climbing roses accompany us through the summer. In autumn, the plants are pruned back, and winter protection is necessary.
Rosa Florentina grows as a climber, typically reaching a height of 1.5 to 2 m and a width of 0.8 to 1 m. It produces red, fragrant, densely filled flowers from June to October.
Container roses can be safely planted year-round, as long as the ground is not frozen. However, regular watering is essential at all times.
The plant should be watered regularly, allowing the soil to dry out in between.
Tip: Any plant parts affected by powdery mildew must be cut off to prevent the disease from spreading. Treat your rose afterward with approved powdery mildew remedies to prevent reinfection. If affected by black spot disease, remove all diseased leaves (black spots) and treat your roses with suitable fungicides according to the manufacturer's instructions. Always cut faded flowers back to the next fully developed leaf. This encourages the formation of new flower buds. Roses should never be planted in areas where roses have previously grown. If no other planting location is available, the soil should be generously replaced.
Planting should take place between March and October, and fertilizing should be done from March to September.
