The D-fuse system is a first-generation screw fuse system that is still widely used in installations. It is applied in low-voltage systems where the fuse inserts are accessible to laypersons and can be replaced by them. The D-fuse range includes sizes NDZ, DII, DIII, DIV, and DV. D-fuse bases with D-fuse inserts of operational class gG are used to protect lines and installations. D-fuse inserts safely disconnect unacceptable overloads and short-circuit currents up to the rated disconnection current, protecting electrical devices and installations from the electrodynamic effects of high short-circuit currents. DIN VDE 0636-3. This tool allows for the insertion or removal of screw inserts DII and DIII in the fuse base.
