The latest from Carbon Active on the market: the PowerBox. For easy installation, CarbonActive has integrated proven backward-curved radial fans into a compact metal box. This allows the fan to be effortlessly incorporated into an existing ventilation system, optimizing the performance of your exhaust and supply air system.

The EC fan, including a controller, utilizes modern EC motor technology, which is now considered state-of-the-art. This technology is largely demanded by customers for new systems due to its potential for energy savings. Fundamentally, a standard asynchronous motor (AC motor) differs from an electronically commutated motor (EC motor) by having a significantly better efficiency. This is particularly evident in partial load operation: with the AC motor, only the voltage is reduced while the frequency remains constant, causing the motor to enter a loss-prone slip operation. In contrast, the EC motor with electronic commutation runs synchronously, eliminating slip and thus preventing slip losses.
