The Blizzak LM001 uses 3D sipes for the tread design, which increases the tread stiffness. For this reason and thanks to multiple main tread grooves, the tyre offers optimum grip even on snow. In wet conditions, the rounded corners in the tread pattern help to evacuate water and slush faster, which optimises road contact and prevents aquaplaning.

Trotz der suboptimalen Position auf der Bestenliste handelt es sich beim Bridgestone Blizzak LM-001 um einen ordentlichen Reifen, der im Test weitestgehend gut abschneidet und dementsprechend keine schlechte Wahl darstellt. Er hat seine Stärken auf Schnee und begeistert darüber hinaus durch den niedrigen Kraftstoffverbrauch und seine lange Haltbarkeit...

Die Leistung des Reifens auf Schnee ist extrem gut und gehört zu den Besten im Test überhaupt. Allerdings kann der Bridgestone dieses Ergebnis nicht in den anderen Tests bestätigen. Vor allem auf Eis sind Schwächen offensichtlich. Wirklich schlecht sind die Ergebnisse aber auch nicht, doch es manifestiert sich ein beinahe durchweg mittelmäßiger Eindruck, der sich am Ende eben auch in der Gesamtwertung...
