The Forstner bit has an excellent lifespan when drilling precision holes. Its tooth-shaped design reduces friction and heat, resulting in greater durability. The short centering tip of the precision drill features two main cutting edges and a peripheral cutting edge (tooth-shaped) for accurate results. The large chip-free zones, which allow for optimized chip removal, further enhance the drill's rapid drilling precision. The Forstner bit enables smooth, splinter-free drilling of blind holes as well as drilling on edges and slopes, for example, for the installation of hinges, doweling, or removing knot holes. It is particularly well-suited for drilling in softwood or hardwood, veneer wood, and non-laminated particle board.
