Citrus myrtifolia – Bitter Orange Chinotto, approximately 9 years old, total height about 30 cm, ceramic pot 14 cm, white fragrant flowers, fruits.
This orange tree has small pointed leaves. The white, strongly fragrant flowers mainly appear in spring, but also throughout the year. The fruits are initially dark green and turn orange when ripe. They can remain on the tree for up to a year. In summer, the bitter orange should be placed outdoors in a sunny spot. During the winter months, it should be kept frost-free. It prefers a temperature between 5° and 12°C and moderate watering. If kept warmer during winter, it requires a very bright location.
