Design: Metric threaded inserts made from stainless, spring-shaped stainless steel wire. Continuously free-running, the drive pin is separated at the notch (break point) after installation. Optimized design with a novel entry area that allows the insert to be positioned and screwed in like a screw. High-strength, continuously free-running HeliCoil®plus threaded inserts made of stainless steel, featuring high wear resistance, low thread friction in tight tolerances, excellent surface quality, as well as corrosion and heat resistance. The flexible design enables uniform load and stress distribution, resulting in durable screw connections of the highest quality for all operational loads (static, dynamic) with ideal force transmission. Simple, quick installation creates a gage-holding, double-sided usable internal thread. Note: Self-locking inserts and other dimensions are available upon request. Suitable limit gages for thread inspection can be found under No. 486000ff. Self-locking inserts, other dimensions, and UNC/UNF threaded inserts are available upon request.
