Product details
Late variety. The plant reaches 50-60cm in height. Its fruits are green-reddish in colour, horn-shaped, 2.5-4cm long and arranged in clusters. They can be consumed fresh or dried. To have the chilli pods available all year round, you can choose between different storage methods.DRYING - Thread the chilli pods by their stem, using a sewing thread and a needle with a fairly large eye. Form a chain about 30cm long and hang it in a shady, dry place. After about 20 days, the chillies will be completely dry and can be stored whole or crushed in preserving jars. After drying, they can also be stored in preserving jars under oil, following the ratio of ¼ coarsely chopped chili peppers and ¾ extra-fine olive oil. Let them sit for at least a month to allow the oil to absorb the full flavor. IN SALT - Take a wide-based preserving jar and pour fine salt in its bottom. Now form layers of whole fresh chillies and salt until the preserving jar is full.DEEP FREEZING - Put the fresh chillies in plastic bags suitable for freezing, deflate and seal.
