Green kernel variety, medium-late and robust, with 4 to 5 medium-sized seeds and long hanging pods. The green-cooking, tender grain remains soft. Sowing as early as possible reduces the infestation of black bean aphids and increases fruit set. During its juvenile development, the plant can tolerate temperatures of -4 to -5 °C without suffering damage. It thrives best in medium to heavy soil. Tip: The thick bean is delicious when cooked as a hearty side dish, in salads, or as an antipasti snack. Raw beans are toxic! Therefore, always cook them for a sufficient amount of time before consumption.
