Product details
Horn shavings are a proven natural long-term fertilizer containing 14% organically bound nitrogen, which is gradually released into the soil by soil bacteria. Horn shavings are suitable for all garden plants and fruit cultivation. Since the shavings decompose slowly in the soil, they provide a sustainable nutrient supply tailored to plant growth. They are also suitable for sensitive plants. The decomposed organic material promotes soil life, improves humus content, and contributes to soil aeration. Horn shavings are an ideal complement to basic fertilization with compost or phosphorus-potassium fertilizers. They are environmentally friendly and promote vigorous and healthy growth. Horn shavings are free from chemical and synthetic contaminants.

Instructions for use | Can be applied throughout the entire growing season, e.g. in spring for top dressing, for planting and in summer for top dressing. It is best applied evenly a few days before sowing and worked in lightly. Sprinkle on and water for top dressing. Do not apply directly and unmixed to the roots. Horn shavings are suitable for all crops. Irrigation accelerates the conversion of nutrients. Application rates: Ornamental plants, fruit and wine growing: 60-80 g/m²; vegetable growing depending on the crop, i.e. weak, medium or strong growers: 80-200 g/m²; new planting of balcony and container plants: mix in approx. 5-10 g per litre of planting soil.Compost: approx. 50 g/m² per 20-30 cm thick layer of compost improves the conversion and quality, especially if otherwise low-nitrogen materials such as straw or prunings are used. |
