The spoon carving set contains two carving knives and a paring knife: The carving knives are suitable for removing large amounts of material and for carving out details. When carving spoons and bowls, the carving knives are used to create and smooth the outer shape. The spoon knife (hook knife) is used to cut out the recess of the spoon, bowl or kuksa. The curved gouge can also be used to carve deep recesses.

The carving tools are made of durable carbon steel and are very sharp, so that both softwood and hardwood can be carved with ease. The ash wood handles are treated with linseed oil for a long service life.

The tool blades are maintained and kept razor-sharp with the leather strap and honing paste to guarantee perfect carving results. All tools are perfectly stowed away in the tool bag made of robust canvas.
