Bamboo Fargesia
80 cmProduct details
A species of bamboo that develops in a clumping and overhanging manner is the umbrella bamboo. It reaches a height of 3 to 4 meters and, with its dense growth, serves particularly well as a botanical privacy screen. Being evergreen, it reliably prevents unwanted views throughout the year. However, it can also be effectively used at the edge of ponds, in rock gardens, and in small gardens. Its extraordinary appearance always creates a special atmosphere.
Fargesia rufa typically reaches a height of 3 to 4 meters and can grow up to 3 to 4 meters wide. This is a fast-growing plant, usually growing 1 to 1.5 meters per year. The umbrella bamboo has finely branched roots (deep-rooted). It is advisable to dig the bed to a spade's depth two weeks before planting, thoroughly remove all weed roots, and incorporate compost. You should water the plant regularly and allow the soil to dry out in between. Planting should take place between March and October.
