Important Notes:
Pipe connectors and pipe clamps are designed for steel pipes. They are not suitable for stainless steel and aluminum pipes.

The inch measurements of the pipe diameters (outer diameter) should not be equated with inches (25.4 mm).

Previously, the measurements referred to the inner diameter of the pipes, and the outer diameters were correspondingly larger (approximately 33 mm for 1 inch). New manufacturing processes and better steel qualities have allowed for the production of thinner-walled pipes over the decades. Since tools (thread cutters, etc.) and accessories were already available for the "old," larger outer diameters, the outer diameter was maintained while the inner diameter of the pipes was expanded. Therefore, "inch" pipe sizes are now metrically defined. Please check before purchasing which clamp/pipe connector fits your needs.
