The showerhead fits onto your existing shower mount: it is the connection (cone) of your shower hose that sits in the mount or shower rod, not the showerhead itself. Therefore, the hose is responsible for the secure fit in the mount. It doesn't matter whether you have a shower rod or a simple mount. You just need to screw the showerhead onto the existing hose, and the showering pleasure can begin.
