Good news for all plant slackers: The Aloe Vera is an undemanding and modest plant. All it needs is a consistently warm climate, a bright location, and a little water – and by "a little," we really mean just a little. Typical of succulents: The desert lily does not tolerate waterlogging at all. It feels most at home in nutrient-poor, sandy soils, as excess water can drain away quickly here.
