The MS132-KB represents a compact and powerful series featuring tool-free push-in spring connection technology with a width of 45 mm, designed for motor protection up to 15 kW (400 V) in railway applications. The devices comply with current railway standards, making them suitable for installation in passenger areas and driver's cabs of trains that frequently operate in tunnels and underground. They provide reliable protection in case of overload and short circuits and include a disconnection function.

Operation is facilitated by a rotary handle with a clear position indicator I/TRIP/0, and the MS132-KB also features a short-circuit indicator. The rotary handle can be directly locked in the 0 position using a padlock. Auxiliary, signal, and short-circuit monitoring contacts, as well as undervoltage and operational current trip devices, can be installed without tools. Push-in spring variants are available for auxiliary and signal contacts, which are also compatible with motor protection switches using screw technology. Direct adapters for contactors in the AF...K series allow for easy assembly of compact starter combinations. Protective housings and accessories for cabinet and door installation complete the range.

The MS132-KB has a tripping class of 10, is temperature-compensated, and sensitive to phase failure. They meet the international railway standards IEC 60077 in applicable parts, IEC 61373 (Category 1, Class B) for shock and vibration, as well as the European safety standard EN 45545-2 for fire and smoke. The push-in spring connection terminals allow for tool-free and time-saving insertion of connection wires for solid wires and stranded wires with ferrules; stranded wires without ferrules can also be connected. There is no need for later readjustment of the connections.
