Product details

MS165-B represents a compact and powerful series with a width of 55 mm for motor protection up to 30 kW (400 V) in railway applications. The devices comply with current railway standards, making them suitable for installation in passenger areas and driver cabins of trains that frequently operate in tunnels and underground. They provide reliable protection in the event of overload and short circuit and feature a disconnection function.

Operation is via a rotary handle with a clear switching position indicator I/TRIP/0. Additionally, MS165-B includes a short circuit indicator. The rotary handle can be locked in the 0 position using a padlock. Auxiliary, signal, and short circuit alarm contacts, as well as undervoltage and working current triggers, can be installed without tools; this accessory is also compatible with MS132-B. Three-phase rails for 125 A allow for the joint feeding of multiple motor protection switches. Accessories for cabinet installation and terminal covers complete the range.

MS165-B has a tripping class of 10, is temperature compensated, and is sensitive to phase failure. They meet the international railway standards IEC 60077 in applicable parts, IEC 61373 (Category 1, Class B) for shock and vibration, as well as the European safety standard EN 45545-2 for fire and smoke.
