ABB Kurzschl.-Schutzscha
Product details
MO165-B stands for the compact and powerful series with a width of 55 mm for short-circuit protection of motors up to 30 kW (400 V) in railway applications. The devices meet current railway standards and are therefore suitable for installation in passenger areas and driver's cabs of trains that frequently operate in tunnels and underground. They provide reliable, fuse-less protection in the event of a short circuit and have a disconnection function. Together with contactors and supplementary devices for thermal motor protection, automatic restart and other special applications can be implemented.
Operation is via a rotary handle with a clear switch position indicator I/TRIP/0. The rotary handle can be locked in the 0 position using a padlock. Auxiliary and signal contacts, as well as undervoltage and operating current triggers, can be installed without tools; this accessory is also compatible with MO132-B. 3-phase rails for 125 A allow for the joint supply of multiple devices. Accessories for control cabinet and terminal covers complete the range.
MO165-B complies with international railway standards IEC 60077 in the applicable parts, IEC 61373 (Category 1, Class B) for shock and vibration, as well as the European safety standard EN 45545-2 for fire and smoke.
