MS165-B is a compact and powerful range for motor protection up to 30 kW (400 V) / 60 A in a width of 55 mm, complying with the latest railway rolling stock standards and allowing installation in passenger or driver cabins for trains frequently operating in tunnels or undergrounds. They offer reliable protection for motors in the event of overload or phase failure. The devices have a trip class of 10. This type also has a clear and reliable indication of fault in a separate window in the event of short-circuit tripping. Further features include a built-in disconnect function, temperature compensation, trip-free mechanism, and a rotary handle with a clear switch position indication. The manual motor starter is suitable for three- and single-phase applications. The handle is lockable to protect against unauthorized changes. Auxiliary contacts, signaling contacts, undervoltage releases, shunt trips, and power in-feed blocks are available as accessories. These are suitable throughout the MS132-B/MS165-B range. Designed in accordance with the applicable parts of the IEC 60077 standard, with shocks and vibration withstand conforming to IEC 61373 (category 1, class B), and usable according to the European fire and smoke safety standard EN 45545-2.
