Question about Burley D'Lite X Double

On our Scott Scale 710 and Contessa MTBs, the trailer hitch fits the original thru axle (with quick release). For our EMTBs (Radon Jealous Hybrid 8.0), our bike dealer had to get a special thru axle: This one is slightly longer on the left side for the Burley hitch with an additional nut for fastening, but without quick release. Catalogue price approx. CHF 100.00; but with a little negotiating skill we got it for the dealer price. It's best to ask your dealer or a professional for the right axle and negotiate a reasonable discount. The assembly is then a piece of cake, or maybe your dealer will even do it for free if he is a nice guy :)

In order to be able to mount the "Burley hitch standard" on my e-bike mountain bike, I first had to buy the Thule Thru Axle adapter (not included with the purchase of the trailer).
