I have a German plug, the device is switched on, the app is downloaded and paired with the device. However, the remote control does not work. I can't get the treadmill to run, it doesn't work. I can't switch it on using the app either.

It may be a silly hint, but it has no battery in the control unit and I found it very difficult to open the battery compartment. You first have to pair the device in the app before you can set it up (top left, the three dashes, then click on pairing in the dropdown menu). Every time and sometimes again in between.
