INCONTROL
The INCONTROL damping system is based on a state-of-the-art low and high-speed system. During slow compression, oil flows through the non-adjustable low-speed compression (LSC) channel. During fast compression movements, oil also flows through the oil channel of the high-speed compression (HSC) valve.
In OPEN mode, oil flows through both the low and high-speed compression channels. The OPEN mode offers sensitivity and therefore a lot of traction.
In DRIVE mode, all oil flows through the HSC channel. The shims of the HSC open at a certain force, resulting in higher compression damping that ensures less energy loss while providing traction on uneven terrain during climbs.
When the LOCK mode is set, a valve closes the LSC and HSC oil channels. This is ideal for sprint situations on flat sections where maximum power transfer is crucial. An overpressure valve protects the rider and equipment from unexpected impacts.
