1. ALPINA SPORTS Proshield Junior Vest

Anyone who has children, was once a child themselves, or still is one knows: A day of skiing isn't always just fun for kids. Heavy boots that are hard to walk in, cumbersome skis that are difficult to carry with ski gloves, and bulky poles under the arm. Fortunately, Alpina offers helmets (with or without visors) and goggles that sit comfortably on the head, are well-ventilated, and have lenses that don't fog up. Even better, Alpina also provides comfortable back protectors. With such equipment, life as a young freerider becomes much easier; in fact, skiing becomes enjoyable. Every day.

2. ALPINA SPORTS Proshield

An afternoon ski day that is not unusual: The slope, which was still nicely ridged and grippy in the morning, now resembles a mogul run, with ice patches lurking underneath and the sun hanging low in the sky. Falls are unfortunately common here. Therefore, it is important to protect what needs to be protected. While a helmet is now mandatory, only a few skiers wear a protector. However, it replaces a layer of clothing, is breathable and comfortable to wear, and protects the spine from more serious injuries. With Proshield, Alpina raises the standard for entry-level protectors to a new level. Protectors are intended to become the norm while skiing.

3. ALPINA SPORTS Flow Pad Ellbow

Many consider wearing elbow protectors a matter of taste. The FlowPad Elbow is designed to cater to every preference. It is certified to Level 1 and subtly complements your protective gear.

The FlowPads are extra long to eliminate any gaps between the jersey and the protector. No Jerry gap, best style. Specially arranged silicone strips at the cuffs ensure that the FlowPads stay in place and your style remains stable. Just like the knee protectors, the tightly woven aramid outer material is used, which prevents abrasion and makes the protectors particularly durable.

So no matter what your taste is, your elbows will love the FlowPads, especially in a crash.

The FlowPads are delivered to you without packaging in a mesh bag that you can use in various ways. This is environmentally friendly – and practical. Because you definitely don’t want to pack muddy protectors in your car or suitcase. A mudguard is included in the mesh bag, serving as a hanger for the store. It’s an added bonus for you and your bike, protecting against dirt.

4. ALPINA SPORTS Prolan

Where everything is white in winter, the slopes are steep and they pursue their favourite pastime, conjuring up turns in the snow, sheep graze in summer. Big sheep, small sheep, white and black. They all have one thing in common: wool. A sustainable raw material that has not only protected generations of people from the cold, but was also a valuable means of trade and still is among mountain peoples. In recent years, wool has been displaced by synthetic fibres as a material for sportswear. Now the warming, protective, natural and sustainable material is experiencing a renaissance. The developers at Alpina have created something unique in collaboration with lavalan, a Bavarian wool production company near Dinkelsbühl: Prolan. Wool that protects. Not just from the cold, bad smells or plastic in the sea. Prolan is sheep's wool that has been processed in such a way that its cushioning properties go beyond the functionality of conventional protectors. What sounds incredible at first, has been tested in numerous tests and confirmed by the TÜV. The new Alpina protector with Prolan meets the standard 1621-2 Level 1. Prolan is an innovation that has not been seen in the sports industry for a long time.

5. ALPINA SPORTS Flow Pad Knee

You can wear the Flow Pad knee protector wherever you want. However, off the trails, it might look a bit odd. But in any case, it will protect your knees.

Despite
its slim profile and lightweight design, the FlowPad knee protector is certified to Level 2. This means it easily absorbs medium to strong impacts, ensuring your knee doesn’t hurt after a crash. The Sas-Tec pad is removable, allowing for easy washing after a mud run. The material is breathable and comfortable to wear even on longer rides. The protector pad is held in place by a tightly woven, abrasion-resistant aramid outer layer. An additional TPU layer reinforces the construction and is designed to allow for better sliding without snagging in the event of a fall. Integrated side pads made of EVA foam provide extra protection, even against your own frame.

The long shape of the FlowPads has been tested over thousands of meters in elevation and has been deemed very good. Thanks to the long design and specially arranged silicone strips on the inside of the cuffs, the protectors do not shift and can be perfectly combined with padded shorts. The annoying gap between pants and protector is a thing of the past. Whether you’re pedaling, jumping, or pumping – the FlowPad stays exactly where it should.
