The 808 Firecrest tubeless disc wheelset from Zipp is all about science when it comes to achieving speed. This wheel is perfect for triathlon, time trial, and competitive events. The 80 mm high rim is designed to enhance your speed in every way. Zipp's Total System Efficiency (TSE) design approach gives the 808 Firecrest new features, including a significant weight reduction of more than 300 grams compared to the previous model. Additionally, the wheel was developed with a hookless and tubeless rim profile and an inner width of 23 mm, making it ideal for running wider tires with lower pressure to improve rolling resistance and cornering grip.

TSE addresses the four main obstacles to speed: air resistance, gravity, rolling resistance, and vibratory losses. Zipp's legendary Firecrest rim shape provides high aerodynamic efficiency and crosswind stability. Zipp's ABLC technology employs a complex dimple pattern to enhance aerodynamic performance. Although this wheelset is optimized for tubeless tires, you still have the option of using tubeless-compatible tires with tubes. The 808 Firecrest with TSE builds on the success of this wheel for time trials and triathlons, performing best with a 28 mm tire.
